Mandi
The Mandi district’s electrical grid has been severely impacted by landslides and intense rains. Near 9 mile Pandoh, the tower of a crucial 132 KV double circuit power line (Bijni-Larji-Kangoo) has fallen entirely. The majority of Mandi’s electricity came from this connection. Electricity for Mandi is currently provided via the 33 KV Ratti-Medical College-Badsu-Bijni line and the 66 KV Shanan-Bijni line. However, there are regular power outages as a result of the Shanan-Bijni 66 KV line being damaged repeatedly by the ongoing landslides and tree falls near Lawandi Nala.
Engineer Vidyut Mandal, Executive The department is striving to restore a 24-hour electricity supply, according to Mandi E. Rajesh Kumar. The 132 KV line repair project is moving quickly and might be finished in a week or so. He has urged the residents of Mandi City and the neighboring communities to be patient and work with the department.
According to E. Rajesh Kumar, during this challenging period, only utilize power for necessary tasks so that all communities with little resources can have access to it. Majhwar, Gutkar, Behna, Souli Khad, Talyahad, Kehanwal, Gokhra, Saiglu, Kotli, Bhargaon, Bir, Bari, Bijni, Drang Dhanog, Chipnu, Khaliyar, Purani Mandi, Jail Road, Seri Bazaar, Mangwai, Katindi, Kamand, Katola, Bagi, Batheri, and IIT Kamand are among the regions from which he has called for cooperation.
