ECE Department of JUIT Waknaghat organized ‘Training Workshop of Robotic Setup’ in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. during 29-30 January 2024
The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, JUIT Waknaghat signed a MoU with Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) Pvt. Ltd. Company; Gurugram in April 2022. Under this MoU, the MEI provided the JUIT with Mitsubishi Factory Automation Student Learning Set-Ups in April 2022; comprising of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Inverter, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Servo Motors as main components. Recently, MEI has provided JUIT with an Industrial Robot Set-Up in December 2023. This whole set-up is related to the field of Industrial Automation and is helping the JUIT students to excel their knowledge in this field.
JUIT organized the installation and training session of the Robotic Set-Up during 29-30 January 2024. This activity has been coordinated by Dr. Pardeep Garg and Dr. Salman Raju Talluri (faculty members of ECE department) under the guidance of Prof. Rajiv Kumar (HoD, ECE department). The expert and the resource person for the training is Mr. Paras Mehta. He is an employee of Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) Pvt. Ltd. at Gurugram.
Mr. Paras completed the installation of the robotic setup on January 29, 2024 from 2-5 PM. On January 30, 2024 after the welcome and introduction of the expert person to the audience; the training on Robot Basics started at around 10 AM. The HoD of the ECE department, faculty members and lab staff of various departments, and many students of the ECE, CSE, and IT branches attended the training session. During the training, Mr. Paras covered the following topics: the basics of Robots, Robot Operation, Backup Procedure, Robot Programming using Teach Pendent, along with the hands-on session on Programming Software using RT Toolbox 3. During the training session, he created programmes showing the application of Robot for ‘Pick & Place’. The session ended around 4:45 PM, and then the feedback of the session was taken. All the attendees appreciated the expert and training session.
