The Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, Kasauli organised a tree plantation programme in Kasauli Valley village of Solan today. The programme was presided over by the Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kasauli, Ashok Kumar.
Ashok Kumar said that the objective of this program is to raise awareness about environmental protection and to increase the green cover. He said that life is due to trees and it is the duty of all of us to protect them. He said that we should not limit ourselves to just planting trees; we should also take care of the planted saplings so that this plant can become a healthy tree in the future.
On this occasion, he interacted with students from various schools and provided them information about the importance of environmental protection.
Ashok Kumar planted a cedar tree on this occasion.
On this occasion, 100 cedar saplings were planted by the citizens of Gram Panchayat Kasauli Garhkal, students of Senior Secondary School and Saraswati Niketan Nalwa School and officers of the concerned department.
