Chamba, April 8: A two-day training workshop for resource teams on “Life Skills Under Mindfulness” was jointly organised by Bharti Airtel Foundation and Samagra Shiksha Himachal Pradesh.
Assistant Commissioner Manmohan Singh presided over the closing session and highlighted the importance of life skills education in the overall development of students. He said such programmes help build self-confidence, sensitivity and positive thinking among students, enabling them to face future challenges more effectively.
The programme aims to strengthen the implementation of life skills-based education for students of Classes 6 to 12 in schools.
Parveen Chaudhary, Regional Head of Bharti Airtel Foundation, said the initiative seeks to integrate essential life skills into the daily teaching-learning process. “Through the Life Skills Under Mindfulness programme, we aim to equip teachers with appropriate tools and approaches so that students grow into emotionally aware, confident and responsible citizens,” she said.
Representatives from the Education Department and Bharti Airtel Foundation also shared their views, stating that the initiative would help students develop important abilities such as emotional awareness, critical thinking and self-control.
Participants were encouraged to implement the knowledge gained during the training in their respective schools so that a larger number of students can benefit from the programme.
