Two ladies have been arrested by police in Jubbal, Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh, in connection with a shipment of chitta. At five o’clock, the police erected a blockage at Kharapathar, which is located in the vicinity of the Jubbal police station in Shimla.A vehicle bearing the Haryana license plate HR 59F0853 was noticed going from Shimla to Rohru during this time frame. Two women were seated in it when the police stopped over to check it out. The officers searched the vehicle after acquiring suspicious. 14.09 grams of chitta were found in the automobile by the police during the search. The alleged women were then taken into custody by the police.
Both identified themselves as Neelam, a 30-year-old inhabitant of Old Jubbal, and Maninder Kaur, a 38-year-old resident of Yamunanagar, Haryana, during police questioning. However, the police have started an investigation and filed a case against both of them under the NDPS Act. The authorities are currently investigating to determine where these women delivered the narcotics consignment and who they intended to provide it to. The case has been validated by SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi.
