Every tale has a hero, but for Puneet Gautam, a hero for his life is his grandfather. He became who he is now because of his grandfather’s love, affection, and teachings. It has been five years since his grandfather left him for the journey of heavenly abode, but yet, not a single day of Puneet passes when he doesn’t feel his presence.

Puneet Gautam, from Mayana village of Dhundan Arki has given a perfect example for those who measure everything in terms of money. He has a tattoo of his grandfather on his back, demonstrating his love for him going beyond simple affection. Puneet’s early years spent with his grandfather are shown in the tattoo.
While remembering his grandfather, Puneet says, “He is just not my grandfather but my hero, my guide, my biggest supporter, and the foundation of the values I stand on today. His wisdom was quiet but powerful, his love was steady and unconditional, and his presence brought warmth that words can never truly capture.” Your stories still echo in my mind, your laughter still lives in my ears, and your lessons still shape the way I think and feel. You left behind not just memories, but a legacy that I try to live up to every day, he added.

When it comes to Puneet, his grandfather is everything. He brought his memories with him at every turn, at times of joy as well as hardship. He also sketches a painting of his grandfather.
Sharing about a shoulder tattoo pic, Puneet said, “This is my childhood; the one I now have tattoos on my back for is more than just ink on skin. It’s a piece of you with me, always. And having your signature etched beside it is like carrying your blessings with him wherever I go.”
He is sincere, kind, and unafraid of hardship because of his teachings. He taught him how to live a dignified life, respect others, and love unconditionally and passionately.
Giving a message, Puneet says, “Wherever you are, Pitaji, I hope you’re smiling down, proud of the man I’m becoming. I miss you deeply, but I know your spirit walks beside me.”
