Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that all sections of society must work together to curb the use of drugs like chitta and to keep the younger generation away from the social evil of addiction. Sanjay Awasthi was presiding over the annual prize distribution ceremony held today at the Government High School in the remote Gram Panchayat Bayla, within the Arki Assembly constituency.
Earlier, the MLA inaugurated the newly constructed examination hall at the Government Higher Secondary School, Bayla campus for Rs 8 lakh.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government has launched a massive campaign against chitta. He urged everyone to actively participate in this campaign and help eliminate the problem of chitta.
Sanjay Awasthi said that while the annual prize distribution ceremony rewards the students for their hard work, it also inspires all the students to work harder with determination.
He said that for the all-round development of children, knowledge of moral values is essential, along with education. The contribution of teachers and parents is crucial in imparting moral values to students. He urged parents to introduce students to the rich culture of the country and the state so that, inspired by this culture, students can become responsible citizens in the future and help move the country and state forward.
The MLA said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, various decisions have been taken to further strengthen the education system. The establishment of Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools in each assembly constituency will provide better education and facilities to the state’s students. He promised to open a CBSE-affiliated Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School in Pargana Rampur.
He said that agriculture, horticulture, and dairy production play a significant role in the rural economy. The state government has made a record increase in the minimum support price for milk, and the Chief Minister has assured further increases. He said that the state government is making every possible effort to promote natural farming in the state. In light of this, the support prices for maize, wheat, and turmeric grown through natural farming have been increased significantly.
On this occasion, the MLA urged the students to continue acquiring modern information regarding agriculture, horticulture, and dairy production. In the future, these sectors will become excellent sources of employment and self-employment for the youth.
He also rewarded the meritorious students of the school on this occasion.
Sanjay Awasthi announced to give Rs 03 lakh for installing the necessary structure and security wall in the newly constructed examination hall of Government Higher Secondary School Bayla, and Rs 04 lakh for repairing the building of Government Primary School Bayla.
He also announced to give Rs 21 thousand to the organising committee and Rs 2100 to the children presenting the cultural program.
Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Bayla, Sundar Singh Thakur welcomed all the dignitaries and presented the annual report.
On this occasion, a colourful cultural programme was also presented by the students of the school.
Sanjay Awasthi then listened to public problems under the “MLA Village Door” program and provided necessary guidance to the concerned departments for their prompt resolution. He said that the main objective of this program is to establish direct contact between the state government and the public and to raise awareness about the state government’s policies and schemes.
