The learning center at Shoolini celebrated Valentine’s Day in a unique way. Different departments presented their own take on love and what it means.
While Samrat Sharma, assistant professor from the English Department engaged the audience with the story of Cupid from the Greek Mythology, Dr. Sandeep Singh, from the school of management spoke about how Valentine’s Day has converted love into a billion-dollar industry globally.
Dr. Kushal Kanwar, Assistant professor, from Yogananda School of Computer science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) took the students and faculty members to the intriguing world of AI based algorithms that are behind popular dating and matchmaking sites like Tinder and Shaadi.com. Dr. Nitika , assistant professor of microbiology explained the role our microbiomes play in our feeling attracted to someone.
Dr. Anita Chauhan, a psychologist, emphasized the need of true love for healing and growth of humans, while Divya Matlani, a young PhD scholar from the Yoga department regaled everyone with her poetry about divine love.
Dr. P.K. Khosla, the chancellor of Shoolini University, addressed the audience and said the best form of love is the love for the Divine.
The chief learning officer of the university, Dr. Ashoo Khosla, shared the road map of the learning center which will provide learning support to both faculty and students. She also mentioned plans of starting education and career counselling for students.
