7 November 2025, Shimla: Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, today organised a mass singing of the national song Vande Mataram and expressed his views on the national song in Shimla, Devbhoomi Himachal, on the occasion of completion of 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram and the inauguration of the commemoration ceremony.
Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said, “The contribution of our national song, Vande Mataram, in inspiring our national leaders in the great yagya of India’s unity, integrity, oneness, and independence is unparalleled and incomparable. Today, as the national song, Vande Mataram, marks its 150th anniversary, we should express our gratitude to independence, our national leaders, and our great personalities for instilling this song in the soul of India. Vande Bharat is not just our national song, but the soul of a living nation. And as we work towards achieving the goal of a self-reliant and developed India under the leadership of our respected Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, this national song is the motto of our efforts and actions. Today, the 150th anniversary of the national song is not just an occasion to remember history, but a moment to embrace the resolve of Swadeshi in thought, deed, and word, on whose foundation the magnificent image of a developed India will make us proud.”
