Hamirpur. Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur celebrated the 79th Independence Day on the campus. The program was presided over by the vice chancellor of the technical university, Prof. Rajendra Verma. The vice chancellor hoisted the tricolor and took the salute of the security contingent. In his address, the vice chancellor said that on this day we should remember every freedom fighter who played a role in liberating India. Today India has reached the present situation due to the efforts of those great personalities.
The vice chancellor called upon all the officers and employees to take a pledge to contribute to the development of the country at present. He said that whatever post we are posted on, we should always be ahead of what contribution we can make to the development of the country and the university. Also, work should be accelerated with full honesty. He wished everyone a very happy Independence Day. On this occasion, Dean Student Welfare of Technical University Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Additional Controller of Examinations Sanjeev Mankotia, Deputy Registrar Surendra Sharma along with other officers, professors, employees, and students, were present.
