Shimla, BJP chief spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal said that the present Congress government of the state has come to kill democracy. To influence the mayor and deputy mayor of the Municipal Corporation, today the Congress government has sent the winning MLAs to the Municipal Corporation elections. Voting rights have been given in the process. This has never happened before in Himachal Pradesh. We can clearly say that this decision is murder of democracy. Killing democracy is also an old habit of Congress.
He said that when the elections for Municipal Corporation Mayor and Deputy Mayor have been announced then how can such a notification be issued in the middle of the election process. This had never happened before today, he said that the fear and intention of the Congress government behind issuing this notification seems to be clear.
The fear is because in a municipal corporation they feel that they may face defeat due to internal infighting and the intention is to influence the election process and wrongly select their mayor and deputy mayor.
