The lower Fatehpur-Indora region has been devastated by the water that was discharged from the Pong Dam in the Kangra district. These places are experiencing flooding. The flood has caused damage to people’s houses, crops, and animals. Power supplies, drinking water systems, culverts, and roads have all been impacted. The flood has flooded all the way down the highways.
Malendra Rajan, the Indora Assembly constituency’s MLA, visited the Mand Indora and Mand Miani regions, which were devastated by flooding. These locations are totally isolated from the rest of the area because of the flood. According to the MLA, the state government is supporting the impacted families at this tragic time. The flood scenario in the Mand region is still severe because of the constant rain and water discharge from Pandoh Dam. The administration has established relief camps. wherein provisions for food, water, medical care, and other necessities have been made. Teams from the NDRF and administration are always involved in rescue and relief efforts. The MLA promised to give the impacted families prompt compensation and whatever assistance necessary.
