Shoolini University’s Yogananda Centre for Theology (YCT) organised its 7th webinar on the topic “True Purpose of Religion” on Tuesday.
The event began with a introduction by Mr. Vivek Atray, Chairman, YCT which was followed by welcome note from Prof Atul Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University. Swami Samarananda Giri Ji, Vice President, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India was the main speaker of the event.
He talked about the different aspects of religion. Ultimate goal of each of us is to avoid pain, poverty and sufferings and attain permanent bliss. He said bliss is our ultimate end whatever we do.
The Swami explained four general religious methods – intellectual method, devotional method, meditational method, and scientific method. He suggested to the youth to meditate daily which will help them in increasing their concentration and they will become a perfect human being.
While talking about religious conflicts, he said the “conflict between the religions is not between the religion and the conflict between the followers of the religion”. The event was organised by Dr. Prerna Bhardwaj and her team.
