Shimla
The winter session of Himachal Assembly will be held from 18th to 21st December at Tapovan in Dharamshala. There will be 4 meetings during the session and during this time the atmosphere of Dharamshala will be heated because there is every possibility of the session being turbulent. Opposition party BJP is fully prepared to corner the government on many issues. At the same time, the ruling Congress will also try to give a full reply to every attack of the opposition. There will be a total of 4 meetings during the session, one of which may be a non-official working day. On the other hand, in the winter session of the Assembly, the opposition party is preparing to corner the BJP government on many issues. The opposition has a plethora of issues this time. Opposition party BJP can raise the samosa issue loudly in the House. This issue has been raised not only in the state and country but also at the international level.
The issue of hotels of Tourism Corporation can also be raised loudly. Recently, the High Court had given orders to attach Himachal Bhawan in Delhi in one case and to close low-occupancy hotels in the state in another case. This was raised loudly by the opposition. Apart from this, the issue of toilet tax can also resonate in the House. Although the government had withdrawn the notification related to this, BJP had capitalized on it in Haryana elections due to which Congress also had to bear the loss. Apart from this, the opposition can also raise issues like law and order, corruption, increasing drug trade in the House.
The issue of guarantees of the Congress government will also be heard in the House during the session. The Congress government has not yet been able to fulfill all the guarantees. The opposition alleges that the government has not even fulfilled its OPS guarantee. It has been implemented in a half-hearted manner because at present the employees of State Electricity Board Limited, HRTC and other corporations have not got the benefit of OPS and they are agitating for it. Apart from this, during the elections, Congress had guaranteed to give Rs 1500 monthly to all women above 18 years of age in every family, but now it has also put a condition due to which most of the women are not coming under this scheme. During this time, the opposition can also raise the failures of the state government during the last two years.
