On Thursday, Rampur Police Station received information that a woman named Anjali was lying dead in her rented room in Dakold. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot, and after inspecting the spot in the presence of the victim’s family members, the victim’s dead body was taken into custody. Keeping in mind the seriousness of the matter, Rampur Police has started a preliminary investigation. On Saturday, the post-mortem of the victim’s body was conducted at IGMC Shimla.
Taking immediate action, the police registered a case under Section 103 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused husband, Sushil (25), son of Roshan Lal resident of village and post office Devthi Tehsil Rampur and the accused was arrested on Monday. This information was given by DSP Rampur Naresh Sharma. He said that the police are collecting other evidence related to the case and further investigation is going on in the case. He said that Rampur Police is committed to providing justice to the victim, and no criminal committing crime in Rampur area will be spared.
