Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission Hamirpur has issued its first recruitment notification. The application fee has been made public by uploading it on the commission’s website. The application fee exemption for female applicants has been eliminated, and the charge has been set at Rs 400 for general candidates and Rs 325 for reserved candidates. Women used to be excluded from the state government’s application requirements. Previously, women could apply for free, but now they must pay an application fee based on their category.
The general category application cost, which was Rs 360 during the defunct Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur, has now been raised to Rs 400. The application cost for the reserved category was once Rs 120, but it has since been raised to Rs 325. Due to the State Selection Commission, applying for government positions has become somewhat more costly in this scenario. The commission is currently aiming to make the hiring process entirely online, though.
All the recruitments through the commission will now be done on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT). In such a situation, there is a possibility of an increase in expenditure in the recruitment process by the commission. Earlier, on a pilot basis, the commission had to pay more than Rs 35 lakh to the outsourced agency in the OTA examination. In such a situation, now the commission has increased the application fee. Now all the recruitments will be done through the outsourced agency. For which the process of signing the MoU of the state government with the CDAC company is going on.
For the general unreserved category, EWS, ex-servicemen who left the army early, Divyang, Ward of Freedom Fighter, and Ward of Ex-Serviceman, a fee of Rs 400 has been set, and for the general reserved BPL, SC, ST, OBC, ex-serviceman, and ward of an ex-serviceman SC ST category, a charge of Rs 325 has been set.
