State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) HP, and Rotary Club Shimla Hill Queens organized “Workshop on Awareness of Organ Donation” by Prof. Puneet Mahajan, Department of Surgery, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla (IGMC) Shimla in collaboration with DRISHTI, SIGHT IEEE JUIT SB, SIGHT IEEE Delhi Section and Environment, Ecology and Health Club, JYC on August 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM in Auditorium.
Prof. Mahajan is the Nodal Officer, of SOTTO Himachal Pradesh. He explained various aspects of Organ donation very beautifully and in simple words. Organ donation is not just an act of generosity; it’s a legacy that lives on, saving and improving countless lives. By choosing to donate, we have the opportunity to make a lasting impact and be a part of something truly extraordinary. Organ donation is a critical issue that has the potential to save countless lives, and it is vital to raise awareness about its importance, particularly among young students. Educating them on the significance of organ donation from a brain-dead individual can make a profound impact on our society. After this program students are inspired in considering the life-saving act of organ donation.
