A workshop on Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination was organized at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, by Dr. Alok Sharma, a renowned consultant obstetrician and gynecologist. The aim is to educate students and faculty about cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of HPV vaccination.
Dr. Sharma, who serves as the National Faculty for HPV Vaccination, highlighted the critical role of regular screenings and vaccines in reducing the incidence of cervical cancer. He also emphasized the need for public awareness and proactive healthcare measures. The session was interactive, with discussions on risk factors, symptoms, and advancements in medical research related to cervical cancer.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response from participants, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives in spreading awareness and promoting preventive healthcare in society.
