Shoolini University in collaboration with Himachal Upbhogkta Sanrakshan Parishad (HUSP) and Consumer Voice organised a “Workshop on harmful effects of packaged foods and safeguarding health through front of pack labels.”
The workshop witnessed an impressive turnout of students and faculty members, all united in their commitment to promoting a healthier lifestyle.
Chancellor Prof P K Khosla, emphasised the critical need for heighted awareness regarding the detrimental effects of packaged foods on overall health. The initiative is a testament to HUSP’s commitment to extending their impactful campaigns from the hills of Himachal Pradesh to the university level, reaching out to students as future influencers and decision-makers.
Mr. Joginder Kanwar, Chairman of HUSP, welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of collective efforts in spreading awareness. His brief introduction set the tone for an engaging and informative workshop.
Ms. Nilanjana Bose, Consumer VOICE, offered a comprehensive introduction to the subject, setting the stage for the subsequent discussions. Her expertise and commitment to consumer rights were evident as she underscored the importance of informed choices in today’s fast-paced consumer environment.
Prof Rohit Goyal Shoolini University shed light on the merits of unprocessed foods and the perils of relying on processed alternatives.
Ms. Srishti Mathur, delved into practical ways of safeguarding one’s health.
