District Program Officer, Women and Child Development Department, Solan, Dr. Padam Dev Sharma said that World Breastfeeding Week will be organized in District Solan from August 1 to August 7, 2025.
Dr. Padam Dev Sharma said that during World Breastfeeding Week, pregnant women will be made aware about information related to breastfeeding and nutrition through various activities. He said that this year the theme of World Breastfeeding Week has been decided as ‘Invest in breastfeeding, invest in the future’.
He said that through the programs organized during the week, pregnant women will be given information about breastfeeding. Apart from this, many programs will also be organized on topics like supplementary diet and proper care of children by mothers, malnutrition, reduction of anemia and exclusive breastfeeding of newborns for 6 months.
