Inter-college Declamation and Painting competitions were organised at the Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB) to commemorate World Food Day. Fifty-three participants from 14 different colleges in Himachal Pradesh participated in these competitions.
This year’s World Food Day theme was “Leave No One Behind,” and the guest speaker was Prof. PK Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University.
The painting and declamation competitions had two participants from each of the participating colleges. Everyone did well in the competitions and effectively communicated their message to the audience.
Sargam from Government College Sanjauli won first prize in declamation, Shefali Sharma from College of Forestry Nauni won second prize, and Chirag from SILB received the consolation prize.
Aastha Dhawan of Shoolini University was the winner in the painting competition, second position was grabbed by Neha from SILB, and Karishma Sharma of Homeopathy College Solan received the consolation prize.
In his address , Chief Guest Professor PK Khosla encouraged students not to give up and to work hard to attain their goals. Mrs. Saroj Khosla, Chairperson SILB, thanked the chief guest and other participants, parents, and teachers who accompanied the students to SILB. Dr. Shalini Sharma, Director SILB, as well as faculty, staff, and all students, attended the event.
