Various activities were organized under the World Immunization Week today courtesy of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Solan. The program was presided over by health teacher Padmani Negi.
Padmani Negi said that the purpose of celebrating World Immunization Week is to make people aware about the importance of vaccination. She said that through the week, it is ensured that people of all ages and pregnant mothers are given information about diseases that can be prevented through vaccination.
He said that free vaccination is done in all the health centres of the district. Pregnant mothers and children are registered on the Univin portal for vaccination. The record of vaccination is kept safe on this portal.
He urged all the Anganwadi workers to make all the mothers coming to their centre aware of vaccination so that they can be motivated to get vaccinated on time.
On this occasion, various activities were also organised under the World Immunization Week.
