Despite a yellow alert on Saturday, the weather remained clear and dry in most parts of the state, including the capital Shimla. However, clouds remained in some areas. According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert will remain in effect on Sunday as well, predicting isolated hailstorms, thunderstorms, and heavy rains, accompanied by strong winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, in all districts of the state.
A new western disturbance will become active on Sunday night, resulting in an orange alert for hailstorms and heavy rains for six districts: Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Sirmaur, and Lahaul-Spiti on Monday, and a yellow alert for the remaining six districts. On Tuesday, a yellow alert for heavy rains and hailstorms has been issued for the remaining 10 districts, excluding Hamirpur and Bilaspur. There will be light activity on Wednesday, but no alert has been issued. The weather will remain clear and dry again from October 9th.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature in Una was 34 degrees and in the capital Shimla it was 22.6 degrees. Earlier on Friday night, the weather remained clear and there was no rain anywhere, although strong winds blew at speeds of 59 kilometers per hour in Reckong Peo and 39 kilometers per hour in Seobagh. Due to the pleasant weather in the state, tourists are flocking to Himachal’s tourist destinations and enjoying the pleasant weather.
