Himachal Pradesh Sub-Junior Boys Rugby Team Departs for Odisha National Championship
The Himachal Pradesh Sub-Junior Boys Rugby team has left for Odisha to participate in the 10th Sub-Junior Boys National Rugby Championship. The national-level tournament will be held from January 20 to 22 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The team will be led by Pranjay from Paonta Sahib as captain, while Bhavesh has been appointed as vice-captain. The squad includes Ankit, Aryan, Aryan Kanwar, Vibhushit, Shaurya Sharma, Akshay, Lakshya, Shaurya, Vaibhav, and Nimesh, who will represent Himachal Pradesh in the championship.
Sandeep Kumar will serve as the team’s head coach, with Sudhir Kumar as assistant coach. A special coaching camp was organized at The Spice Hotel Ground, Selaqui, where players underwent focused training ahead of the competition.
Expressing confidence in the team’s performance, Dr. Vikas Sood, President of the Himachal Pradesh Rugby Association, extended his best wishes to all players.
The association also acknowledged the support of SJVN Limited and Tirupati Industries Limited, whose contribution has helped the team participate in the prestigious national tournament.
