Deputy Commissioner Chamba Mukesh Repaswal said, “Youth are the future of the country and positive thinking is the strongest foundation for a bright future.” He urged the youth to move ahead with the strength of hard work, dedication and struggle and achieve excellence in every field of life.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing students as the chief guest at the Youth Dialogue Series-2 program held today at Government College, Chamba. Organized by the District Employment Office, the program was themed “From Hard Work to Success.”
The Deputy Commissioner said that the current generation is becoming increasingly entangled in the quagmire of drug addiction, which weakens them not only physically but also mentally. He urged the youth to stay away from drugs and play an active role in freeing society from this ill effect.
Referring to highly competitive examinations like the UPSC, he said that with hard work and consistent practice, no goal is difficult. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner shared important experiences from his life with the students and guided them by answering all the questions posed by them during the interaction.
He said that the youth of Chamba district are full of immense potential. If they make hard work their mantra, they can achieve new heights in every area of life and make positive contributions to society.
Referring to the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2025, the Deputy Commissioner said that cleanliness should not be limited to just campaigns but should be made a part of our daily lives. He appealed to everyone not to throw garbage around and to take care of public places and keep them clean, just as we keep our homes clean.
He advised that instead of throwing away plastic waste, it should be deposited at the Municipal Council, where a fee of ₹75 is charged per kilogram. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also administered a cleanliness pledge to all those present.
A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the program and got answers to their queries related to career, education and life management.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the newly constructed library in the college campus and also observed the exhibitions put up by the trainee students of Professional Graduate.
In the Yuva Samvad programme, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Vigilance) Abhimanyu Verma, District Employment Officer Arvind Singh Chauhan and District Programme Officer (Health) Dr. Karna Hiteshi also provided useful and inspirational information to the youth.
