District level youth parliament competition organized in Arki
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Health and Family Welfare, Public Works and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi urged the youth to never be afraid of struggle in life. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the district level Youth Parliament Competition organized at Government Students Senior Secondary School, Arki of Solan district today.
07 teams from 08 education blocks of the district participated in the competition.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the struggle done in the right direction during youth becomes the basis of a successful life in future. He said that the youth should always be ready for hard work and dedication. He said that talent attains the highest level of refinement only by toiling in the furnace of struggle. He called upon the youth to always strive to achieve their goals. He said that the youth will have to be at the forefront in obtaining higher education.
The Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that for the sustainable development of the country and the state, it is necessary to give proper direction to the unlimited energy of the youth. He said that for this, while the youth will have to stay away from drugs, we all will have to ensure that the youth get better education and timely opportunities. The state government is doing planned work in this direction.
Sanjay Awasthi said that in order to provide world class education facilities and other infrastructure to the youth, the state government has decided to establish one Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in each assembly constituency. These schools will emerge as temples of holistic education.
He said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is working to secure the future of every child of the state. Chief Minister Sukhashraya Yojana is a strong effort in this direction. He said that under the Sukhashraya Yojana, the state government has decided to adopt 4000 orphan children as ‘Children of the State’. So far, benefits worth Rs 4.68 crore have been transferred to these children under the scheme. He said that we all have to imbibe the people-friendly thinking of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
Sanjay Awasthi urged the students present in the competition to understand all such schemes of the state government and give information about them to the needy so that all the eligible people can benefit from them.
He said that the Youth Parliament program is capable of better preparing the students for future challenges. He said that such programs develop leadership qualities among the youth. He expressed hope that this program will prove important in providing proper political thinking to the youth.
On this occasion, Sanjay Awasthi assured to soon fill the post of music and chemistry teacher in Government Students Senior Secondary School, Arki. He directed to prepare and send an estimate for the construction of toilets in the school so that funds can be made available as per requirement. He also announced to provide Rs 21,000 to the organizing committee.
He then listened to the public problems at rest house Arki and instructed the officials to resolve them quickly.
