Hamirpur 11 November. A 10-day training camp for local women began on Monday at the Block Development Officer’s office, Tauni Devi, courtesy of Punjab National Bank Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSET) Hamirpur. In this camp, women will be provided training in mushroom cultivation.
Block Development Officer Vaishali Sharma, who attended the inauguration of the camp as the chief guest, interacted with the participating women. She said that rural women can earn a good income at home through traditional farming and animal husbandry, as well as other related activities. Mushroom farming also has good prospects. Praising RSETI for organizing the camp, Vaishali Sharma said that women should take full advantage of such training programs.
On this occasion, while welcoming the chief guest, other guests, and all the participating women, Director of RSETI, Ajay Kumar Katana said that rural women can develop and upgrade their skills and set up an enterprise at home or start their own business. This will strengthen the economy of their family. Ajay Kumar Katana said that during this ten-day camp, food, uniforms, stationery, and other materials will be provided to the participating women by RSETI.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the camp, local Panchayat head Ravindra Singh Thakur, faculty member of ITI Vinay Chauhan, CRP Rajkumar, regional coordinator of the National Rural Livelihood Mission Neeta and other officials were also present.
