A 19-year-old girl living in a rented house in Dwada under Nerwa police station under district Shimla hanged herself to death.
This girl also worked in a private hotel here. The reason for suicide is not known, but the police has started investigating it. However, the post-mortem has not been done yet and the police will get the post-mortem done at IGMC Shimla. The police will wait for its report after the post-mortem.
The girl’s mobile has also been found, but it could not be opened due to the lock on it, which will be tried to be opened by an expert.
According to the police, 19-year-old Ritika, resident of village Chaflah, post office Dhabas, tehsil Chaupal, lived in a rented house in Dwada in Nerwa and worked in a private hotel here, but she ended her life by hanging herself in the room. The deceased’s parents and other people also reached there. The police took the body into custody and brought it to Nerwa Hospital for post-mortem, from where the doctors advised to get her post-mortem done at IGMC. Police has left for IGMC with the body and the postmortem of the body is being done.
Efforts are being made to open the mobile
DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma, who is handling the additional charge of SDPO Chaupal, said that the police has started action under section 194 of BNS and the postmortem of the body is being done in IGMC, while efforts are also being made to open the mobile from experts. Every aspect of the case is being investigated seriously.
