At least 24 students were killed on Saturday in alleged joint Israeli-American strikes on a primary school in southern Iran, according to Iran’s Student News Agency (ISNA).
ISNA reported that the girls’ primary school was located in Hormozgan province. Earlier, the agency, quoting local authorities, had put the death toll at 18 students before revising the figure to 24.
Meanwhile, China’s Xinhua news agency, citing a source in Iraq’s Interior Ministry, reported that at least two members of Iraq’s paramilitary Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) were killed in a missile strike in Babil province, south of Baghdad, on Saturday.
Local media in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) also reported that one person was killed in Iranian missile attacks.
Israeli media claimed that three senior Iranian officials were killed in its strikes. However, Iran has not confirmed these claims so far.
