A one-day employment fair was organized at Regional Employment Office Mandi on Wednesday. Through this fair, various renowned companies of the country and the state had come here to fill 1500 posts. For these posts, around 2500 unemployed people reached the fair, but only 500 people got the job opportunity, while the rest had to return home empty-handed.
District Employment Officer Akshay Kumar said that this fair was organized through the Labor and Employment Department, in which around 2500 people got themselves registered. He thanked all the companies, departmental officers and employees who came to the job fair.
Viplav, posted as Young Professional in the Employment Office, said that companies have selected people through intensive interviews. Therefore, the companies which met the criteria have been selected. He said that efforts were made to provide employment to unemployed youth from class 8th to MBA through this fair. Selected youths will get a package ranging from 10 thousand to 48 thousand through companies.
