307 Agniveers of the fourth batch passed out from the 14 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC) located at Subathu in Solan district, displaying a great display of military prowess and pride. These Agniveers, who took the oath of allegiance to the Republic of India, will now serve as the first and fourth regiments of the Indian Army. They will join the glorious Gorkha battalions of the Gorkha Rifles. These battalions have a rich and glorious military history of over 200 years of valour and sacrifice.
Brigadier PP Singh, Commandant, 14 GTC reviewed the Passing Out Parade, which marked the culmination of 31 weeks of rigorous training of Agniveers in physical fitness, combat and field craft, shastras and tactics.
Brigadier PP Singh in his address motivated the young Agniveers to keep the national flag and the Indian Army flag high on all borders of the country.
After the parade, an impressive pipe band performance and superb physical prowess enthralled the audience. More than 350 people attended the event which included serving personnel, ex-servicemen, parents and relatives of Agniveers.
