Shimla, April 11: The much-anticipated Pro HPCL Season 4 is gaining momentum, with player trials scheduled to be held on April 12 at Durga Public School, Solan, from 9 am onwards.
The trials will mark a crucial phase of the league, where registered players will showcase their skills ahead of the upcoming player auctions.
This season has recorded significant growth, with 642 players registering for the league, up from 567 in Season 3. The rise in numbers reflects the increasing popularity and credibility of Pro HPCL as one of Himachal Pradesh’s leading cricket platforms.
Adding a new dimension to the competition, organisers have introduced a rule allowing each team to include one player from outside Himachal Pradesh. As a result, players from 10 states and Union Territories—including Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Delhi and Puducherry—have registered for Season 4, expanding the league’s reach beyond state boundaries.
Following the trials, player auctions will be held on April 15 in Shimla, where all 642 registered players will go under the hammer for the participating franchises.
The matches will be played at the newly constructed Shimla Cricket Ground near Mehli, which is emerging as a premier cricket venue in the region. The facility is expected to provide a professional platform for players and an engaging experience for cricket enthusiasts.
With increased participation, wider outreach and heightened competition, Pro HPCL Season 4 promises to be bigger and more competitive than ever before.
