The 66th District-Level Main Sports Tournament was held at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Sunni, on October 3, 2025. Harikrishna Himral (Director, State Co-operative Bank of Himachal Pradesh) graced the occasion as the chief guest. Chairman of the Municipal Council, Sunni, Pradeep Sharma and other members, SMC President Dr. Satish Mehta and other members, senior Congress leader Kapil Gupta, and Acharya Mr. Hitendra Mohan were also present.
In the sports competition, PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Sunni, won first place in hockey, while Government Senior Secondary School, Junga, Shimla, came in second. In basketball, Government Senior Secondary School, Matiyana, Shimla, won first place, and SPS Sarahan, second. In handball, Chiyog won first place, and Dofda, second. The local school also won the march past.
At the closing ceremony, students from the local school mesmerized the audience with their cultural performances. The chief guest presented awards to the winners and wished them a bright future. The school’s principal, Mr. V.K. Raghuvanshi, thanked everyone and requested their support for similar events in the future.
