Students from eight countries awarded degrees in various disciplines

 Bahra University hosted its International Convocation 2026 for students from across the globe, with graduates from Nigeria, Cameroon, Bangladesh, Malawi, Ghana, Comoros, Thailand and Nepal receiving degrees for their academic achievements.
Organised by the university’s International Students Division (ISD), the special convocation was attended by Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman, Rayat Bahra Group and Chancellor of Bahra University; Vice-Chancellor Prof RP Nanta; Registrar Vineet Kumar; Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Sushil Kumar Chaudhary; deans, directors, heads of departments, faculty members and administrative staff.
Students who completed their programmes in disciplines including law, management, pharmacy, hospitality and tourism, and computer science and technology were awarded their degrees.
The university said the achievements reflected years of academic study, practical training, skill development, research, experiential learning and sustained effort by the students.
The presence of students from different countries and cultural backgrounds added an international character to the ceremony. During their time at the university, the students also had an opportunity to experience India’s culture, traditions and diversity, while cultural interaction and exchange of ideas enriched the campus environment.
Conferring the degrees, Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their future careers. He said receiving a degree was an important milestone in a student’s academic journey, while real success lay in using acquired knowledge, skills and experience to make a meaningful contribution to society and their respective countries.
He also appreciated the efforts of the International Students Division in organising the special convocation, noting that the presence of students from different countries strengthened the university’s international identity and provided students with a global outlook.
The university said the convocation highlighted its focus on quality education, internationalisation, professional excellence, skill development and global employability.
The graduating students are now set to begin new professional journeys in their respective countries, carrying with them the knowledge, skills, confidence and academic and cultural experiences gained during their time at Bahra University.
