An FIR No. 41/2025 dated 3.6.2025 under Sections 21 and 25 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Jubbal on the basis of a rukka (report) sent by SI Kuldeep Singh, No. 73, Investigating Officer, Detection Cell, Sub-Division Rohru.
As per the report, on the evening of 2.6.2025 at around 8:40 PM, when he was present with his team in Anti Bazaar, he received a tip-off from an informant that one Anil Kumar, son of Shri Bishan Singh, resident of Village Kaina, Police Station Mandaal, Tehsil Jubbal, District Shimla, is involved in the business of selling heroin/chitta. The informant further reported that Anil Kumar was heading toward his home in his vehicle bearing registration number HP-10B-4609.
Acting on this information, a checkpoint was set up in Anti Bazaar. At around 10:10 PM, the said vehicle reached the checkpoint and was stopped. The driver was identified as Anil Kumar as described above. Upon searching the vehicle, 22.64 grams of heroin/chitta was recovered from the dashboard. The narcotic substance was taken into possession and Anil Kumar was arrested on 3.6.2025. He was produced before the court on 4.6.2025 and was remanded to police custody until 6.6.2025.
Further investigation into other aspects of the case is ongoing.
