Mandi, April 7
Reinforcing the national commitment towards a tuberculosis-free future, an Ayushman Arogya Camp was organized at Dehar in District Mandi on the occasion of World Health Day. The initiative aimed at strengthening awareness, early detection, and treatment of TB as part of the ongoing TB-Free India campaign.
The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta, graced the occasion and actively participated in the campaign activities, highlighting the importance of collective responsibility in eliminating tuberculosis from society.
Also present were Sandeep K. Bhardwaj, IPS, Secretary to the Governor, and Major Gurteg Singh Kandhola, ADC to the Governor, who joined in supporting the awareness drive and interacting with local residents and health officials.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasized that sustained and coordinated efforts are crucial to transform the TB-Free India mission into a people’s movement. He called for increased public participation, timely diagnosis, and adherence to treatment protocols to effectively combat the disease.
Health officials at the camp conducted screenings, distributed informational material, and educated the public on preventive measures and available government schemes under Ayushman Bharat.
The event marked a significant step in mobilizing community support and reaffirming the government’s dedication to achieving a TB-Free India.
