Shimla/Sundernagar, April 7: The Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, visited the BBMB reservoir today and reviewed its functioning and management. The visit highlighted the importance of efficient water resource management and infrastructure maintenance in the region.
The Governor was accompanied by Shri Sandeep K. Bhardwaj, IPS, Secretary to the Governor, and Major Gurteg Singh Kandhola, ADC to the Governor. Senior officials of the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) were also present during the visit.
During the interaction, officials briefed the Governor on reservoir operations, water levels, and ongoing maintenance measures. The Governor appreciated the efforts of BBMB in ensuring the smooth functioning of the reservoir and emphasized the need for continued vigilance and sustainable practices.
The visit underlined the government’s commitment to strengthening vital infrastructure and ensuring optimal utilization of water resources in Himachal Pradesh.
