With the commitment to eradicating Tuberculosis, the Bahra University, Department of Physiotherapy organized a street play and a rally on World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. The event was commenced with the theme of this year’s World TB Day, “Yes! We Can End TB.”
On this occasion, Vineet Kumar, the university’s Registrar, stressed the urgency of collective efforts to fulfil the nation’s pledge of ending TB by 2025. He also praised the Department of Physiotherapy for its proactive approach in organizing such an impactful event.
The department has organized various activities including rallies and a play to educate the citizens about the importance of combating TB and promoting health initiatives. The students have marched through the streets, holding banners and placards adorned with messages advocating for TB prevention and treatment.
During the event, informative sessions were conducted to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding TB, educate attendees about its symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options, and raise awareness about the importance of early detection and seeking medical assistance.
The event concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where participants vowed to spread awareness about TB in their communities and actively support initiatives aimed at ending the disease.
