On the occasion of International Drug Prevention Day, a special campaign was launched today for the eradication of cannabis plants growing at various places in Nagar Panchayat Sunni, in which the volunteers of National Service Scheme of PM Shri Rajkiya Adarsh Senior Secondary School mainly uprooted the cannabis plants.
Sub-divisional Magistrate Sunni Rajesh Verma made the volunteers aware on the occasion of this day and told them about the ill effects of drug abuse and also urged them to be a part of this campaign and if they see such plants near their homes or institutions, they should remove them too.
On this occasion, he also requested all the office heads that if they see any such plants near their office, they should also remove them.
On this occasion, employees of Nagar Panchayat Sunni and National Service Scheme program officer Rajesh Negi as well as the school’s physical education teachers and employees of other departments were present.
