In the quiet corridors of discipline and duty, where uniforms define identity and responsibility shapes routine, LC Babita carries a world far more colorful than her khaki attire suggests.
Posted in Bilaspur and originally from Una district, Babita is not just a part of the Himachal Pradesh Police but she is an artist whose canvas breathes stories of culture, struggle, and unfulfilled dreams.

“I want to be an artist, but life, as it often does, had other plans, she says softly.
A Dream Framed by Circumstances
Babita’s journey into art wasn’t born in studios or art schools,it was nurtured in the warmth of her home. Her parents, despite limited means, became her first inspiration and silent supporters. Their belief in her talent planted a seed that continues to grow, even if not in the way she once imagined.
Family responsibilities and financial realities led her to wear the uniform instead of pursuing formal training in art. Yet, her passion refused to fade and it simply found a different path.

Art Beyond Boundaries: Stories on Canvas
Babita’s paintings are not just visuals but they are emotions translated into colors and lines. Her work moves across themes effortlessly
Babita striking painting of a Kinnauri girl, inspired by the vibrant Raulane festival, captures the elegance of traditional attire and the pride of Himachali heritage. The intricate jewelry, bold colors, and mountainous backdrop reflect both realism and abstraction her signature style.

Through powerful anti-drug artworks, Babita addresses pressing societal issues. Her paintings speak loudly“Choose life, not drugs”a message painted not just with brushes, but with conviction.

Babita loves spiritual Expression and her work fom detailed mandala art centered around Lord Shiva to serene depictions of divine families, her spiritual pieces reflect calmness, discipline, and inner strength and qualities mirrored in her own life.
Babita’s abstract compositions carry a deeper meaning which is unspoken feelings, suppressed dreams, and the balance between duty and desire.

The Kinnauri Muse: Where Culture Meets Creativity
Among her works, the painting of the Kinnauri girl stands as her most personal creation.
Inspired by the Raulane festival, it reflects not just a cultural moment, but an emotional connection. The vibrant headgear, layered ornaments, and textured attire come alive against the majestic blue mountains—symbolizing both rooted identity and distant dreams.
It is here that Babita the women working in HP Police disappears and Babita the artist takes over.

Two Worlds Life
Her life is a delicate balance between two identities, one bound by duty, the other freed by creativity. While she may not have had the privilege to formally pursue art, her work proves that talent does not wait for opportunity as it creates its own.
Babita’s story is not just about art but it’s about resilience. It is about every dream that bends but refuses to break.
It is about finding color even in a life painted with limitations. And perhaps, in every stroke she paints, Babita is quietly rewriting her own destiny-one canvas at a time.
