The School of Bioengineering and Food Technology under the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology at Shoolini University celebrated Biotech Fest 2K26. The Student Research Council, Kanwar Enterprises, Research Aid, and International Scientific and Surgical sponsored the event.
The chief guest for the occasion was Professor of Bacteriology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton, England , Prof. Myron Christodoulides. The guest speaker was the CEO of Growdea Technologies, Dr. Avinash Mishra.
Prof. Myron Christodoulides delivered an insightful expert lecture, sharing valuable knowledge with students and faculty members. This was followed by an engaging workshop by Dr. Avinash Mishra on “How AI Models are Reshaping Entrepreneurship”, where students gained practical insights into innovation and industry trends. The inaugural session concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the Head of the School, Prof. Pankaj Kumar Chauhan.
Shoolini University Chancellor Prof. P. K. Khosla, Registrar Prof. Sunil Puri, Dean Planning Prof. J. M. Jhulka, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology Dr. Dinesh Kumar, and Head of the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology Prof. Pankaj Kumar Chauhan were also present.
The first event, Biotech Venture (Symposium), provided undergraduate students with an opportunity to present innovative research ideas before CEOs and entrepreneurs. Parth Sharma was declared the winner.
Two other major competitions, Bio-Shastri (Quiz) and Tarq-E-Biotech (Debate Competition), were held simultaneously. The quiz featured intense rounds and tie-breakers, with Kartikey Agrawal and Kartik Parihar emerging as winners.
The debate competition, Tarq-E-Biotech, witnessed energetic arguments and well-structured discussions, reflecting the participants’ depth of knowledge and confidence. After an engaging exchange of ideas, the team “Rational Recombinance,” comprising Nikhil Binit, Kashivi Rai, Shohini De, and Sakshi Gupta, emerged as the winners.
Adding a creative dimension to the fest, a poster-making competition titled “The Living Palette” was also organised, where students expressed scientific concepts through art. Sunidhi Deo secured the top position in this event.
The celebrations concluded with “Biotech’s Got Talent 2K26,” during which students showcased a variety of talents, including mimicry, poetry, dance and singing. Anveksha Tilwani was declared the winner of this lively segment, bringing the event to an enthusiastic close.
