The Computer Science and Engineering Department of BUEST organized an insightful alumnus talk aimed at guiding B.Tech CSE students (II & III year) on career opportunities in cybersecurity.
The distinguished speaker was Ms. Swinky Sharma(Batch of 2009-2013), Founder of Cyber Forge Academy. She and her team conducted an engaging session, offering valuable insights into the world of cybersecurity. From sharing her academic journey at BUEST to discussing the evolving demands of the industry, she provided practical advice on entrepreneurship, skill development, and future trends.
The event featured interactive activities, including a thrilling Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, where students were divided into teams to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges. The winning teams walked away with exciting goodies, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
Students also had the chance to interact directly with the alumni, gaining first-hand guidance on career paths, industry challenges, and emerging technologies in cybersecurity.
The talk was organized by Ms. Shailja Sharma- AP CSE and Mr. Nitin Kapoor -AP CSE. Sarthak Chawla, Student of B.tech CSE 5 sem, delivered a heartfelt welcome note on behalf of the department, extending warm regards to the alumni and acknowledging their contributions to the field.
