The government of Himachal Pradesh has set new premium rates while taking into account the Himcare scheme’s categories. New card registration will now only be accepted during the four months of March, June, September, and December. As of right now, new card registration will continue through July 2025. The card must be renewed by the beneficiaries within 30 days. These cards will only be good for a single year. The family is eligible for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh upon admission to a licensed government hospital under the state government-sponsored Himcare health program.
According to Himcare, the applicant may create a smart card at Lok Mitra Kendras, computer cafés, or online at www.hpsbys.in by uploading their Aadhaar card, ration card, cellphone number, and category certificate, then paying the required fee. The recipient would be required to pay an extra Rs 50 under the plan in order to enroll and submit their papers at the Common Service Center or Lok Mitra Kendra.
The plan includes a number of common and dangerous illness kinds. In addition to government institutions in the state that are registered under the Himcare card, beneficiaries can receive free treatment by visiting registered private hospitals (only for dialysis patients).
