Baddi, March 24
Students from the School of Agricultural Sciences at Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST) undertook an educational industrial visit to Kuantum Papers Ltd., Hoshiarpur on March 20, 2026, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial practices.
During the visit, students were introduced to advanced clonal propagation techniques and the sustainable utilization of wheat straw in paper pulp production. They also witnessed large-scale paper manufacturing processes, gaining firsthand insight into modern agricultural-industrial integration.
The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sudhir Sharma and Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, who facilitated interactive sessions with industry experts, allowing students to understand practical challenges and innovations in the sector.
Importantly, the visit paved the way for potential collaborations under the RAWE (Rural Agricultural Work Experience) programme and opened up apprenticeship opportunities for students.
The exposure proved highly enriching, equipping students with practical knowledge and enhancing their understanding of sustainable agricultural industries.
