To promote our rich heritage of classical dance, the “Celestial Rhythms” will showcase on 21st September at Gaiety Multipurpose Hall.
Kala Sangam Shimla is organizing the classical dance evening intending to promote the classical culture which is overshadowed by Bollywood and Western dances .
On this occasion, Secretary of the Ancient Art Center, Sejal Kaushal will participate as the chief guest. The organizer of the program, Poonam Sharma said that the program will start at 5:00 pm on September 21. About 60 to 70 students of Kala Sangam Dance Academy will participate in it. Rudra Taal, Jhap Taal and Teen Taal will be presented in it. Apart from this, Chatur Ang Shastri Nritya will be presented by Vidushi Sameer Kaushal and her students. Poonam Sharma, President of Kala Sangam Dance Academy, says that she has been teaching classical dance to students for the last 35 years. The main objective of this program is to promote the rich cultural heritage of India and provide a platform for artistic expression.
More than 60 students of YWCA Kathak Dance Academy will perform pure classical dance, and the main highlight of the evening is Vidushi Samira koser’s performance named “CHATURANG” which will be performed by Dr Samira Koser and her students, Poonam added.
Dr Samira Koser is also going to give a lecture demonstration at the end of the program, which is going to be enthralling and most amazing, as she’s very good at connecting our rich heritage with young minds.
