Police have recovered 469 bottles of local and English liquor from a person in Gholti adjoining Chamba city. A case has been registered against the accused under the Excise Act and investigation has been started. During patrolling, Sadar police team recovered 445 bottles of country liquor and 24 bottles of English liquor from Mahindra Pal Kalia, son of Raghuvir Das Kalia village and post office, Sarol tehsil and district Chamba.
Asked him for documents regarding possession of liquor, but he could not present any document. Due to this, the police have registered the case and started investigation and liquor has also been seized. The police had been receiving complaints of illegal liquor being sold in Sarol for some time, after which the police patrolled the area. The police team was continuously patrolling here for the last few days. The matter has been confirmed by SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav.
