Accused Injured in Hit-and-Run
Bhuntar/Kullu: In a major crackdown, police seized charas and cash worth ₹4 lakh from a luxury car during a naka on the Bhuntar–Manikaran road near Siund in Kullu district.
Three occupants of the vehicle were arrested. They have been identified as Kolden Rigzin and Tenzin Kyab, residents of McLeod Ganj, and Jamyang Chhering, a resident of the United States.
Police recovered 28 grams of charas and ₹4 lakh in cash from their possession.
Accused Hit by Speeding Vehicle
In a shocking turn of events, while the police team was carrying out action against the accused at Siund, a speeding traveller vehicle coming from the Manikaran side allegedly hit Jamyang Chhering and fled the spot.
The injured accused was immediately rushed to Kullu hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections for narcotics recovery as well as a hit-and-run offence and further investigation is underway.
