Shimla, October 4. Students from the Government Senior Secondary School for Excellence, Chiyog, secured first place in the handball competition and captured the trophy at the district-level under-19 student sports competition held in Sunni. Furthermore, Shubham Arpit and Rudra from Chiyog performed brilliantly in the district-level wrestling competition held in Rampur, securing trophies and gold medals. Saksham, a student of the school, won the gold medal in the Koraash competition, and Adarsh won the silver medal in Taekwondo. Upon arriving at the school, the players were warmly welcomed by the staff and students with garlands and gifts.
Principal Sandeep Kumar Sharma congratulated Physical Education Teacher Ramesh Verma and the players for this achievement, stating that the school’s students are currently earning accolades in all types of wrestling competitions, which is a matter of pride for the entire region. He extended his best wishes on behalf of the school family for the upcoming competitions. The school management committee credited this outstanding performance to the school’s principal and the DPE, under whose guidance the children achieved this milestone. All school staff and students were present at the awards ceremony.
