Additional District Magistrate and Administrator, R. & R. (Luhri H.V.P.), Shimla Jyoti Rana while giving information, said that 00-38-92 hectare (5 bigha 3 biswa) land in Mahal Nirath, Narola and Bhadrash District Shimla is proposed to be acquired for the construction of Luhri Hydroelectric Project (210 MW). Therefore, for the affected families of the above Mahals, a supplementary draft rehabilitation and resettlement plan (scheme) has been prepared under Section 16 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and Rule 7 of the H.P. Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act (Compensation, Rehabilitation and Resettlement and Development Plan) Rules 2016. All those land owners have been included in this plan who were left out from the draft plan prepared earlier. This supplementary draft plan has been kept in the office of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rampur for publicity and dissemination.
He informed them that before finalizing the draft plan, claims and objections of the affected people are invited, which they can submit in the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil), Rampur. The authorized concerned Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) will record the claims and objections of the people as per Rule 8 of the Himachal Pradesh Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act (Compensation, Rehabilitation and Resettlement and Development Plan) Rules 2016 and include them in the supplementary draft plan and send it to the Additional District Magistrate.
He said that all the affected families should register their claims and objections at the above-mentioned place within one month so that the draft plan can be finalized by incorporating the claims and objections of all the affected landowners in this draft plan.
