Mandi:
A 13-year-old Class 9 student allegedly died by suicide in Bada Samahal village of Sarkaghat subdivision in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district after being stopped from going out to play.
According to reports, the student had returned home after appearing for his annual examination. When he wanted to go out to play, family members advised him not to waste time and asked him to study instead.
Upset over the matter, the boy reportedly went into his room and hanged himself. When he did not come out for a long time, family members checked the room and found him hanging.
The deceased was the only son of the family, leaving the household devastated. Police reached the spot after receiving information and have started an investigation into the matter.
